Married or not
It's part of a loving relationship to making arrangements
to protect each other and your children in case at some
point you are no longer together - for whatever reason.
|
In the traditional marriage ceremony the 'what ifs' are spelt
out - " for richer for poorer", "in sickness and
in health", "'til death us do part". Marriage also
offers legal protections.
Partners who have lived together for a while often think they
have a common-law marriage with the same protection - but they're
wrong.
If you aren't married to your partner you can take steps to make
your future more secure.
'Married or not' provides an at-a-glance overview of the legal
differences between marriage and living together. Go to www.marriedornot.org.uk
